What this site collects

Santa Clarita Home Guide serves static pages. It sets no accounts, no login, no comment box and no advertising script. There is no third-party analytics tag on these pages.

The server that delivers the pages keeps the ordinary request records any web server keeps: the address requested, the time, the response code, the referring page and the user agent. Those records exist to keep the site running and to see which entries are read.

Correspondence

A message sent to the desk's mailbox carries the address it came from, the name given in it and its content, and it is kept as long as it takes to answer and to keep the record of a correction. A message can ask for that record to be removed, and the desk removes it.

Links to other desks

An entry sometimes points to another publication where a reader can go deeper on a subject. Once a reader follows that link, the destination's own privacy rules apply. Nothing about the reader is passed along by this site.
